Traveling Structure

This project was one of the favorites from the semester. We were tasked to create a sculpture using certain materials on top of a monster truck so the sculpture would have the ability to move. I drew inspiration from Egyptian, gothic, and post modern architecture. I created the arches from gothic inspiration. I chose the triangular shapes based on Egyptian architecture. I chose to use the string and the aerodynamic design based on the modern architecture. My design attempted to incorporate the antennae of the monster truck because I felt that I was not move unless I did so. I used pins and glue to assemble the structure and used masking tape to trim the edges.
